To better position this new delivery system, Gravity Branding created the name Concerta®— which was approved by the FDA and was selected to convey the therapy’s ability to work ‘in concert’ with the lifestyles of patients and their families. Perhaps, more subtly, it also conveyed the idea of ‘concentration’.
